2nd September - London 2012 Paralympic Games

With Gaz Choudhry & Abdi Jama
With Grant Mizens
The 2nd of September was one of the best days I had in London over the summer of 2012. I met quite a few people who I would class as lifelong friends. I also met a lot of athletes, and their stories were inspiring! Firstly, while I was working inside the Basketball Arena, I bumped into two Team GB Wheelchair Basketball stars. Gaz Choudhry and Abdi Jama.

As well as this, at the end of my shift, I grabbed my camera from my Games Maker bag, and I met members of the Austrailian Wheelchair Basketball team, including Justin Eveson and Grant Mizens. Grant Mizens gave me an official Team Austrailia pin badge - my first of the Paralympics, and called me 'a great Games Maker'! Of course, this was amazing to hear - it made the £4000 I spent on getting to the Games, completely worth it!

After I had got some pictures with the athletes, I decided to head back to the flat after a great day in the Olympic Park. As I walked through the park, it was very dark, but the glow from the Olympic Stadium seemed to shine so brightly. It was an absolutely amazing sight.
